A subsidiary of GA Smart Building for over 50 years and historically focused on producing low-carbon concrete construction systems for building construction, PREGA is evolving and expanding into the public works and civil engineering sectors.

A pioneer in off-site construction, the Group has developed a unique off-site platform designed as a driver of innovation and performance. All of its industrial subsidiaries, including PREGA, and its operational services work in synergy to offer an optimized, sustainable approach at the cutting edge of new construction technologies. This off-site platform is open to everyone, allowing external players to benefit from the Group’s industrial capacities to massively deploy this method in France.

With its three factories covering the French territory from Normandie to Toulouse, via Colmar, and its 200 employees, PREGA designs and produces all types of low-carbon off-site concrete construction systems, with all types of finishes, both for the GA Group and for all players in the construction industry.

Securing production through an industrial process rooted in continuous improvement, guaranteeing production quality, optimizing schedules and reducing construction times by 30%, meeting commitments, prices, and deadlines, enhancing site safety, and reducing disturbances around sites, the benefits of factory-based concrete production are numerous.

A recognized player in the building construction sector, whether for office buildings like the Stellantis grEEn-campus in Poissy, housing projects like the redevelopment of the former Saint-Vincent-de-Paul hospital site in Paris, logistics facilities such as the Ardoines logistics hotel in Vitry-sur-Seine for Sogaris, or functional structures like a gymnasium for the Paris 2024 Games, PREGA is now bringing its expertise to the public works and civil engineering sector, producing for example:

  • Capitals, beams, and hollow-core slabs for the maritime quay of Port-Vendres (66)

At the same time, the Group makes its expertise available for the production of decorative concrete, as demonstrated by the façade featuring Joséphine Baker created for the new school of the same name in Fleury-Mérogis (91).

PREGA, which has been implementing the GA Group’s sustainable and responsible strategy for several years, is investing heavily in R&D to develop ultra-low-carbon concrete formulations aiming for a 70% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional concrete, thus providing the Group and all of PREGA’s external clients with a solution adapted to the upcoming RE2020 thresholds.

Kader Guettou
CEO of GA Smart Building

PREGA is one of the cornerstones of the off-site platform that GA Smart Building is making available to all players in our sector. The implementation of this diversification strategy will, I am sure, enable it to strengthen its contribution to the reindustrialization of France thanks to its expertise, its strong territorial presence, and its commitment to creating and maintaining local employment.

Mickaël Carvalho
Director of the PREGA Normandy Plant and Key Account Development Manager

Our three PREGA factories, which offer great production and storage capacity, will enable PREGA to meet the needs of public works and civil engineering players, in addition to those of the building sector, with perfect quality control and a continuous innovation approach serving technical, financial, and environmental performance.
